Unified Partners Work for Change.

Two Special Olympics Great Britain Unified Partners worked with a local club to develop Unified Sports.

Congratulations to George Holt (16, left on picture) and Keven Shard (14, right on picture), Special Olympics Unified Football Athlete and Partner in Great Britain, NW region who are also elected SOEE Youth Advisory Board members and participants in European and Global Youth Summits 2010 and 2011. The two true friends and youth leaders motivated a local sports club to open a new Special Olympics Unified Sports branch.

The group, Skelmersdale Men-Aces,  will do Unified football, football, basketball, swimming  and hope to do Table tennis cricket and Bocce. They currently have 3/4 football teams playing regularly and are developing the other sports.

Had it not been for the competition that George and Keven ran, and their work in doing presentations about Unified football wherever they can, this would not have been achieved. There are more groups interested in signing up to Special Olympics, again as a result of their hard work, and surely very soon we will have more news on that front.

Those are exciting news thanks to all the hard work the boys are putting into developing Unified Sports in Great Britain.

Well Done! Keep Up the good work and believing you can change things for all.
