Our national games bring together athletes with intellectual disabilities of all ages and abilities. The events are open to the public, and we encourage everyone to come out and cheer. The athletes will compete in tennis, table tennis, swimming, volleyball, gymnastics, athletics and cycling.
Markgraf Sport and Leadership Academy is a multifaceted camp for girls using soccer, theater, mindfulness, and yoga to stretch participants’ comfort zones and equip them with the tools to overcome challenges. MSLA’s goal is build empowered leaders who are allies to the greater community. Special Olympics Wisconsin has been offered the unique opportunity in which SOWI athletes will be placed on a MSLA camper’s team. The new unified team will compete in small-sided soccer games and track events.
Registration: Because the age limit of the camp, we are restricting participation to athletes 8-14 only; Athletes must have valid medicals on file; There are only a limited number of spots and registration will close once we reach that limit.
For four days, this event will bring together over 1000 athletes and coaches from all over France as well as 100 volunteers and a dozen partners. This major event will allow Special Olympics France athletes to participate in six sports (athletics, motorsports, judo, petanque, 7-a-side football and basketball ) and various discovery activities associating students and school children in the city. Healthy Athletes screenings will also be offered to athletes.

The 2017 Special Olympics Alberta Summer Games is taking place in Medicine Hat from July 7 to 9. Medicine Hat will host the largest Provincial Summer Games with over 1,200 athletes and coaches from across the province. Athletes will compete in 11 summer sports: 5 and 10 pin bowling, athletics, basketball, bocce, golf, powerlifting, rhythmic gymnastics, soccer, softball and swimming.
From the 10-12 July 2017, the Special Olympics Nordrhein-Westfalen Regional Games will be hosted in Neuss near the river Rhine. About 1000 athletes are expected to compete in 12 different of sports (athletics, badminton, basketball, bocce, equestrian, football, golf, judo, roller skating, swimming, and table tennis). There will also be a big opening ceremony, 4 healthy athletes disciplines (Fit Feet, Health Promotion, Fun Fitness and Strong Minds) and MATP. It will be lots of fun! The Provincial Summer Games will feature athletics, soccer, softball, golf and bocce. With almost 800 athletes along with, coaches, staff and spectators, supported by over 600 community volunteers!
The Kim Källström Trophy offers young people with some form of intellectual disability the opportunity to participate in The World Youth Cup. The love of football is the common denominator for all of us. Kim Källström Trophy is a co-operation between Gothia Cup, Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia, Special Olympics Sweden and our main sponsor, the Swedish national player Kim Källström.

In celebration of Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day, Special Olympics encourages each community, from every corner of the world, to engage in sports activities focused on welcoming people with and without intellectual disabilities.

There will be a Healthy Athletes Clinic happening at the Danang International Marathon in Biendong Park, Danang City, Vietnam on Sunday morning.
The Garden State Unified Golf Classic is an 18-hole golf tournament to benefit Special Olympics New Jersey. This inaugural event will benefit the over 25,000 Special Olympics New Jersey athletes who compete year-round in more than 260 competition events across 24 Olympic-type sports, as well as provide health programs, leadership opportunities and Unified programs–all completely free of charge. Our Special Olympics athletes will be playing alongside many of the golfers during the course of this tournament.
The next Special Olympics Great Britain’s National Summer Games is the country’s largest multi-sports event for athletes with intellectual disabilities of 2017.
As our flagship event, it is held every 4 years and represents a huge opportunity to showcase the abilities of children and adults with intellectual disabilities, allowing them to compete at a national level, experience the personal achievement this brings, as well as enable them to make friends, travel and socialise.
100 athletes from 10 countries will participate in this years European Unified Volleyball Tournament in Katowice Poland.

We are expecting 200 athletes and Unified partners to participate in our 2nd State Bocce Tournament. Over 300 athletes are expected to participate in our State Softball Tournament. Teams will compete in traditional team slow-pitch, Unified slow-pitch and t-ball competition over this two day tournament.
One More Tri, the only unified triathlon in the state, embraces the idea that sports can unify all of us. It's more than a race - it’s a Unified Triathlon Experience where triathletes of all skill levels compete side-by-side with Special Olympics athletes. This race is inspired by a simple principle: the act of competing together ensures a quick path to understanding, acceptance, and friendship. All proceeds support Special Olympics New Jersey, a non-profit organization that provides free year-round sports training and athletic competition in 24 Olympic-type sports for more than 25,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities.

This is an event for all Areas. Male and female athletes from across the state. This will be our 13th State Unified Tournament. We are expecting 300 bowlers to participate in doubles and team events.
The John L Cassidy Heartland Winter Games will be held in Weston, Missouri, St Joseph, Missouri and Atchison, Kansas. The Regional games will take place from 14- 23 March 2018 with the participation of around 1800 athletes competing in 16 different sports , 450 coaches, 3000 volunteers and 100 honored guests. On the sidelines of the games several initiatives will be held: Healthy athletes program- Families forum- Young athletes demo- Youth Summit.
Circa 1,600 athletes from all corners of Ireland will participate in the 4-day residential Games in 13 sports competitions and a Motor Activities Training Programme. Competitions will include Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bocce, Equestrian, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Kayaking, Swimming, Tenpin Bowling, Table Tennis, and Pitch & Putt.
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, will be the host of the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games. The Games will be held 14 to 21 March in 2019. The Games will span seven days of competition. About 7,000 athletes from more than 170 countries are invited to attend. The Games will feature competition in 24 sports.
