Cynthia Court oversees Special Olympics’ global efforts in communications, fundraising strategy, and corporate partnership as their Chief Marketing and Development Officer. She has been with the organization since October 2011.
She came to Special Olympics from Boys and Girls Clubs of America, where she was Executive Vice President of Resource Development and Marketing. In that role Court managed a staff of 100 consisting of both a centralized staff that raised $65 million on a national-level, and a team that worked in partnership with field programs to specifically target corporate, foundation and individual gifts in support of a $500 million campaign. Under her leadership, the development team increased overall giving, enhanced corporate relations and cause marketing, significantly increased the engagement of national trustees, and strengthened resource development operations.
Before joining Boys and Girls Clubs of America in 2002, Court held an executive position at the Arthritis Foundation where she consistently advanced the organizations' fundraising capacities.
Court holds a B.A. in English and History and a B. Ed. through York University in Toronto, Canada. She is married with three children and resides in Atlanta, GA.
