16 nations compete in 2013 European Basketball Tournament

Istanbul, Turkey will host the fifth European Basketball Tournament.

Three days of strong competition

Istanbul, Turkey is the host of the 2013 European Basketball Tournament.
 
16 nations will be represented in this three day tournament including: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Macedonia, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine. 

The Tournament has the full support of the Turkish Basketball Federation and local authorities who promise to make it an unforgettable event for everyone involved who will enjoy Turkish hospitality at its best!

The theme of the Tournament is "Basketball for Everyone" and it will send a message to the Turkish community and beyond of respect, acceptance and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.

The Tournament will begin on the morning of June 20th with an Opening Ceremony and classification round in the afternoon.
On June 21st and 22nd group matches will be played all day at two different venues: Kafkale Sport Facility in Tuzla and the Hasan Dogan Sport Facility in Kartal. 
The final will take place in the afternoon on June 22nd when the European Champions will be decided, followed by an Award and Closing Ceremonies.
