Team Mattel

The winner of the recognition Team Mattel is Special Olympics Mexico

Mexico´s Program beyond meeting the targets set in the number of volunteers, involved other program areas such asfamilies and volunteers ALPS not affiliated to  Mattel. They called on the media (radio and television) to their Mattel event and posted a video on YouTube about it. The project generated public awareness for both, Mattel corporation and the National Program.

Young Athletes Mattel

Special Olympics El Salvador  met its goals and surpassed the minimum number of teachers to engage and recruit to implement the Young Athletes program. They also developed an activity guided with the help of volunteers and parents for children with intellectual disabilities from 1-4 years old and managed to establish a cooperative agreement with the Little Angels, an institution that will support the management in rural areas of the country with children with disabilities. This is an example of an efforts by the national program to ensure sustainability.

Youth Activation Mattle

Special Olympics Bolivia won the recognition Youth Activation Mattel.

Special Olympics Bolivia reported excellent grants management and compliance with the requirements and policies. The project stands out in both performance and in the number of activities organized with the funds. The program organized unified sports events, R campaign, and an event to show the film ¨the Ringer¨. They recruited young leaders who organized all the events and involved 13 institutions. It was an excellent example for the entire region.
