Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform spins, jumps, footwork and other intricate and challenging moves on ice skates. Figure skaters compete at various levels from beginner up to the Olympic level (senior), and at local, national, and international competitions.

European Figure Skating Competition

On the 27th of March, Vienna will host the 9th International Figure Skating competition for Special Olympics skaters. There will be 32 participants from 6 different countries (Austria, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Slovakia and Russia) will take part in this 2 day competition. This is the largest figure skating competition for European athletes outside of the Special Olympics World Winter Games.

Figure Skating Competitions

World Winter Games 2013

The 2013 Games featured world-class competition in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, figure skating, snowboarding and speedskating, among other sports in PyeongChang, Republic of Korea. See results by delegation, athlete and bib number.
