Polar Plunge is a Fundraiser
for the Fearless

Jumping into cold water to raise money for Special Olympics is a winter tradition. From Florida to North Dakota and California to D.C., 'tis the season for freezin'.

Polar Plunge

Countless people have helped raised funds for Special Olympics athletes through the Polar Plunge. Contact your local Program for an event near you.  Find Your Local Program

Each year members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run® along with local Special Olympics Programs invite the local community, businesses, celebrities and sponsors to brave the freezing cold waters during their respective Polar Plunge® events.

This event raises funds for local Special Olympics Programs and raises awareness about the power of Special Olympics through hosting unique experiences with music, food and most of all fun.

Participants take the plunge into oceans, bays, local lakes and even pools with ice to show their support of Special Olympics.

To learn more about how you can become involved in a Polar Plunge event, please see the Polar Plunge events section below or contact your local Special Olympics Program for event information.
