Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation. Individuals or teams of competitors (from 2 to 6 people) manipulate one or two pieces of apparatus: rope, clubs, hoop, ball, ribbon and Free (no apparatus, so called "floor routine").

Special Olympics Sports Tournaments in El Salvador

Special Olympics El Salvador is developing different tournaments to keep our athletes active.View Story Special Olympics El Salvador is developing different tournaments to keep our athletes active. Swimming, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, and had developed a Multi-Sports City Arena. On the other hand, the Bocce Tournament was held on the court of the Sports Palace. In both events SO El Salvador had the support of volunteers from Francisco Gavidia University and Cuscatlan Rugby Scout Movement.

I am Ruben Alejandro and I am a Champion

Thanks to my studies I got a job in Public Services of the State of Nayarit in the area of computer education, I am currently an administrative assistant in the Multiple Care Center of Nayarit.View Story I'm Ruben and I was born with Down Syndrome have a younger sister and I live with my parents. I went to CREE rehabilitation center at 22 days old. There they treated me for my developmental disability to be equal to all children. I attended the child development center for three months, then preschool, primary and secondary mainstream schools with persons without disabilities. Thanks to my studies I got a job in Public Services of the State of Nayarit in the area of computer education, I am currently an administrative assistant in the Multiple Care Center of Nayarit. Since childhood I practice sport and I love gymnastics, I participated in 8 national events and 3 World Games and now I have another opportunity to go on behalf of Mexico to Los Angeles. I like the Folkloric dance workshops scarves weaving workshops, development of piñatas, wreaths, bows for gift and beads.

in my past, I have competed in the 2006 National Games. In the event of artistic gymnastics. I feel everyone around me supported me a lot.View Story in my past, I have competed in the 2006 National Games. In the event of artistic gymnastics. I feel everyone around me supported me a lot. When I decided to do rhythmic gymnastics instead. I started rhythmic gymnastics in 2009 to present. Even people on YouTube has a interest of watching all my gymnastics videos. Thank you all for your love, and your support. FYI I've really competed in artistic gymnastics from 1998 to 2006 I do help my coach choreographing my own routines. I am in level 4 for rhythmic gymnastics.

World Summer Games Los Angeles 2015

In July of 2015 more than 7,000 athletes from 170 countries will come to Los Angeles, California for the Special Olympics World Summer Games and enjoy 10 days full of joy, friendship and competition. Athletes will compete in 22 sports. The event expects to attract 500,000 spectators and 30,000 volunteers and 3,000 coaches.
