Angelina Ong

Angelina is responsible for advancing the movement's mission of building inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities through sports, health, and education in Asia Pacific. She oversees the region's operations, which serve more than 1.5 million Special Olympics athletes across 27 countries. With over two decades of general management, in both consultancy and corporate leadership roles, she has a proven track record as a strategist and storyteller across the entire integrated marketing and communications spectrum.

Speaking 7 Asian languages, Angelina has a distinct Asian multi-cultural perspective and strong business acumen. She is passionate about advocating business 'glocalization' in the Asia Pacific region and has served as a senior advisor to CEOs of Fortune 500 companies specializing in strategic communications, corporate social responsibility platforms, issues management, brand positioning, stakeholder engagement, digital strategy and talent management. Angelina's previous executive leadership positions include APAC President at Cohn & Wolfe; Regional Managing Director, APAC at Burson Marsteller; General Manager, Marketing at Edelman China; Director & Head of B2C Marketing, APAC at Yahoo!. In 2016, she was named on the list of 'Asia's 50 Women Leaders' at the CMO Awards and received various industry awards at PRWeek Awards Asia, APAC SABRE Awards, and Marketing Asia.

Angelina was a key member of the global media relations team at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. She is also an active volunteer in the local community serving various causes for the past twenty years. These included Lions Befrienders, Animals Asia Foundation and Cat Welfare Society. She currently sits on the executive committee of Breast Cancer Foundation Singapore..
