Golisano Foundation Honoree - Amy Pete

Amy Pete

Amy Pete, a clinical director with FUNfitness, was one of six health care professionals to receive the 2012 Leadership Award for Exemplary Healthcare Services from the Golisano Foundation during its annual luncheon October 18. Amy Pete is a physical therapist at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) who specializes in working with children and their families. She has organized and led screenings at the 2012 Special Olympics Winter Games in Rochester, arranging everything from volunteer recruitment and training to equipment ordering. The Golisano Foundation awards are given annually to health care professionals in New York, USA who have demonstrated extraordinary efforts to improve healthcare and access to care for people with intellectual disabilities.
