Hi when the practices for the Rhode Island Special Olympics starts up again to do the time trials for swimming and the swim meet and do the time trials at Bishop Hendicakan and then go down and stay at University of Rhode Island on Friday, Saturday and then come home on Sunday, I would like to have a moment of silence both at Bishop Hendickan and at URI. For my mother who always volunteered at Special Olympics each and every year, I would like to know if all the Rhode Island Special Olympics Athletes and their chaperones and coachs can have a moment of silence for my mother. She always loved to volunteer down at Bishop Hendicakan and down at URI for all the Special Olympics teams I was on. My mother's name is Irene V Schenk, and she was the chaperone for all the Special Olympics teams I was on. And now she can not chaperone down at Bishop Hendicakan and down at URI. She will be greatly missed by all the athletes from the Rhode Island teams and she will be greatly missed by me. I am the daughter of Irene V Schenck, so please when the time comes again to start practicing for the games again, let's all pray for her. I am a Athlete and I was on a lot of different teams. And I love competing in the Special Olympics and I love doing my events. When i was about to do my race next my mother and I would look to see if we could find each other and after we spotted each other we would wave to each other and my mother would always love to cheer me on and i would always make sure that she was ok and i always asked her if she was alright and i always was looking for her and made sure that she was watching me and i would help her out and she would help me out. I am going to miss her so much.
