spots a Young Athletes participant during a demonstration of the program in
China.
On
February 1, 20 youngsters with intellectual disabilities, plus their parents
and teachers, will demonstrate the Special Olympics Young Athletes program in
front of a World Winter Games audience. Young Athletes provides movement and
sport skill development to children with intellectual disabilities who are
younger than 8 years old. This will be the first Young Athletes demonstration in
the Republic of Korea. The program can be done by parents at home, by teachers
in schools and in other settings because it does not use special equipment and
it does not require much room. Learn more about the program at the link
