First Meeting About Inclusion

By Karina Herbas

On Tuesday March 18, Special Olympics Bolivia organized the First Meeting About Inclusion in the FAO premises. Representatives of international cooperation as CAF, UNFPA, PAHO and Italian came to the event. In addition, we had the participation of the Ministry of health, Ministry of Justice and Autonomous Municipal Government of La Paz. The objective of this meeting was to learn about the contribution that is being made from different institutions and lines of action towards the best care for people with intellectual disabilities in the country. As part of the speakers of the day, we had one representative from Athlete Leadership from Latin America, Israel Sandoval, who told the audience his experience with the Special Olympics movement in the country.

About Karina Herbas: I am Director of Communications and Volunteerism for Special Olympics Bolivia.
