Joining Forces for Football in Latin America

San Jose, Costa Rica: Football legends and Regional Football Ambassadors Alex Aguinaga (Ecuador), Enrique Borja (Mexico) and Teofilo Cubillas (Peru) traveled to San Jose to help promote the "1st Central American and Caribbean Special Olympics Unified Football Tournament", which will take place on the 9th - 16th of May.

They joined local football star and Ambassador for Special Olympics Costa Rica, Victor Cordero, and Global Messenger Ariel Ary, for the official draw for the tournament. Unified Football Teams from Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, and USA who will be competing in this first-ever regional event learned that day with whom they will be grouped for the initial round of matches.

Our Football Ambassadors and Ariel spoke with the national and local media representatives about the "power" of Unified Football to help promote communities of acceptance and inclusion.
