UND, Special Olympics Athletes team up for Choice Health and Fitness wellness event

Athletes jumped, threw and ran Saturday during the Special Olympics TRAIN event at Choice Health & Fitness in Grand Forks. The community program was the collaborative effort of Choice, Altru Health System, Special Olympics North Dakota and University of North Dakota athletics. About 50 Special Olympics athletesand UND athletes participated in the health event that aimed to promote fitness and nutrition. “The goal for Special Olympics is unified sports, so it was really great to have UND come out and support these athletes and work together with them,” said Choice personal trainer Kalee Werner.
