Jimmy Fallon's Frigid Chicago Polar Plunge

By Christy White

Jimmy Fallon, the host of NBC’s The Tonight Show, asked Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to come on his show as a guest. Not missing a beat or an opportunity to help raise awareness AND funds for Special Olympics, Mayor Emanuel said he would come on the show ONLY if Jimmy joined him and participated in Chicago’s Polar Plunge. Jimmy RSVP'd Monday for the event on Twitter: "Okay @Rahm Emanuel. I'm in. Lake Michigan will have a New York fish this weekend #SwimmyFallon. Today, Jimmy plunged and media all around the country picked up the story.
