Senegal Athletes Open Afrivac Gala Match, Promoting Vaccination for All

Star players of the Afrivac Gala match, led by El Hadj Diouf and Nicolas Anelka, pose with Special Olympics Senegal Unified Football team and the Special Olympics Senegal Majorettes.
During the opening of the AFRIVAC Gala Match for vaccination featuring the teams of El Hadj Diouf and Nicolas Anelka, Special Olympics Senegal teams clashed in a Unified Football match. The kick-off was made by Prof. Awa Marie Coll Seck, Senegal’s Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Matar Ba, Senegal’s Minister of Sports, Mr. Kabirou Mbodji, CEO of Wari and Mr. Blaise Diadhiou of Lions Club. Our footballers gave the public at Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium an exhibition match worthy of the celebrity game that few minutes later. Whilst the Special Olympics majorettes made the audience buzz in the stadium, our Young Athletes stole the show when they accompanied the national and international star players of the gala match onto the playing field. Special Olympics Senegal supports AFRIVAC, vaccination for all! Thank you to all the supporters who attended, AFRIVAC, the Ministry of Health and Social Action, the Ministry of Sports, Speak Up Africa, Lions Club and Wari.
