Look out for Jersey #11, Franck Koffi from Cote d’Ivoire!
This week, Franck Koffi will make the journey from his neighborhood courts in Yopougon to the NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Basketball Game in New Orleans! At 21 years old, Franck works as a refrigerator technician and has played basketball with Special Olympics Côte d’Ivoire for over 11 years. As a playmaker, the 2014 National Games gave him the opportunity to improve his technique, and selected him for 2015 World Games in Los Angeles. He played every game, and his team took home gold. Kobe Bryant is Franck’s favorite NBA player, due to his technique, his leadership and commitment to always to lead his teammates to victory. The NBA All-Star Weekend is an ideal platform for Special Olympics to demonstrate the power of sports to unite people everywhere. Some of the NBA’s finest will play alongside athletes like Franck from around the world, including Greece, Japan, Mexico, Panama, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela. Look out for Jersey #11, Franck Koffi from Cote d’Ivoire!
