On behalf of an initiative by Microsoft Germany the two famous German sports-bloggers Markus Herrmann and Marvin Ronsdorf visited the German Snowshoeing-Team in Inzell, Germany on their road to the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017 in Austria. The two digital experts were accompanied by a video-team that prepared a report on the Special Olympics and the use of modern technology, e.g. the Microsoft Cloud or Surface-Tablets. The focus of the visit was the mission-statements “Strong Together” and “Empower every person to achieve more”. The snowshoeing-athletes Anton Grotz and Ronald Glaub explained their sport to the bloggers and the bloggers had the chance to test the sport by themselves. In addition to the numerous training-sessions with the best weather conditions in Inzell, the athletes and the sport-bloggers shared their weekend together, doing a snow-tube-run and creating a video-spot, explaining snowshoeing in simple language.
