Special Olympics Builds Life-Long Friendships

My name is Matt. I'm a special olympics Virginia athlete from area eight. A couple of years ago, I met a student athlete from Linfield college in Oregon named Montana. Montana was a star pitcher for her team playing for NCAA division three women's softball in Salem, Virginia. As soon as we met, we talked about both our teams and the sparks just flew. Today, we still talk to each other. Special Olympics is very important because it gives Special Olympics athletes and college athletes the chance to develop life-long friendships with one another like this relationship. I am blessed to have a friend in my life like Montana.
