To further express their commitment, EU Commissioner of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics visited Graz during the Games. David Evangelista, President and Managing Director of Special Olympics Europe Eurasia, said, “It was an honor to host Commissioner Navracsics in Austria, and have the opportunity to thank him for his and EU’s incredible support for our movement. His leadership has helped propel our platform for change across Europe, and we are committed to ensure a strong and lasting legacy for many years to come.” During his visit, Tibor Navracsics had the opportunity to meet Special Olympics leadership and Austrian government leaders. His visit concluded with a special evening of traditional entertainment for the delegations, during which he met with the Hungarian delegation to offer his personal support and congratulations to his national team!
