Special Olympics Swaziland held Family Health Forum In Matsamo

Special Olympics Swaziland hosted a Family Health Forum at Mbasheni Anglican Primary School in Matsamo in the northern part of the country on the 26 July 2017.

We had a representative from Manzini Lions Club Bongani Khumalo. Manzini Lions Club donated US $76 which will go towards a support group where family members meet, discuss and share ideas on coping with children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The main guest speaker, Occupational Therapist Fanelo Nkonyane, spoke on the topic “Coping with a child with an intellectual disability”. Enthusiastic family members and teachers participated in the Family Health Forum.

We had a Medfest screening which happened before the family health forum conducted by Clinical Director of Medfest Dr Nolwazi Mamba, she was assisted by Podiatrist Temantimandze Kunene Fit Feet Clinical Director and volunteer student nurses from Southern Africa Nazarene University .
