First Lions Champions Cyber Club Chartered!

Together, Special Olympics and Lions Club International improves the vision of persons with intellectual disabilities across the world.

Special Olympics South Africa (SOSA) in partnership with Lions Club District 410B chartered the very first Lions Champions Cyber Club, the Bryanston Champions Cyber Club, at Birchwood Conference Centre in Boksburg.

The Bryanston Champions Cyber Club is the first of its kind in the world! The charter of the club was witnessed by visiting 2nd International Vice President of Lions Club International (LCI), Ms. Gudrun Björt Yngvadottir of Iceland. Dr. Phosa and Ms. Yngvadottir were joined by a number of honored guests including the LCI District Governor, Mr. Bernd Gerhard and SOSA Ambassador, Mrs. Letshego Zulu.

The new Bryanston Champions Cyber Club in support of SOSA will focus on serving and empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities.“Lions Club International embodies the very spirit of volunteerism that we as Special Olympics rely on in order to create life changing opportunities for our athletes.
