Willemina says the fuse between athletes and partners was not a problem at all she was lucky to have a supportive group. She says her participants learnt a lot from this camp and she feels like they acquired a lot of knowledge.

We interviewed Willemina Letlapa who is an assistant coach at Mantjedi Special School where the "Skillz for Life" camp. Willemina has been an assistant sports coach at Mantjedi for the past 2 years.

Willemina says that this was the first time being a part of a program like this hence why she was excited for the holiday camp to begin. Willemna continued to add that this was her first time implementing what she had learned after the coaches training. Willemina added that this training was an excellent idea, the Pankop community is lacking a lot of resources and through this camp and the curriculum with a mix of the soccer skills will be great for the community.

The only challenge she had was being the only female in a group of male participants but she felt that it was an advantage as well because she learnt a lot from a male perspective which she can use when recruiting new participants.
