South Carolina Hosted 2017 Special Olympics North America Tennis Championship

126 athletes and 36 Unified Partners representing 10 states traveled to South Carolina to compete in the Special Olympics North America Tennis Championship. The event was held October 19-22 at Van der Meer Tennis Center in the Shipyard Plantation on beautiful Hilton Head Island.

Delegations from Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, North Carolina, Washington, Wisconsin, host delegation South Carolina had athletes compete in Level 1-5 Tennis singles, doubles and Unified doubles. Our fantastic partners Bank of America and FinishLine helped secure numerous volunteers to ensure the event ran as smoothly as possible. Congratulations to all of the competitors!
