1200 players took part in 27 competitions of European Basketball Week in Ukraine

Special Olympics girls enjoyed watching Budivelnik match in Euroleague round 7 in Kiev and One Team action

The 10th European Basketball Week became a significant occasion in Ukraine to promote Special Olympics basketball. National Basketball Federation and Superleague Clubs actively supported the initiative. 12 regions hosted 27 competitions for over 1200 players across country. The highlight tournaments held in Sevastopol on 29 and in Kirovograd on 28-29 Nov, where the seminars for coaches and Healthy Athletes screening has been conducted. Long-term partners Coca-Cola Foundation, Coca–Cola Ukraine and McDonald's Ukraine support helped to secured high-level of organization. The gold went to Special Olympics teams from Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Mykolaiv-female. On 29 Nov. during Euroleague Basketball match of BC Budivelnyk in Kiev, players warmly greeted Special Olympics girls on the court, in recognition to Special Olympics. The ONE TEAM Program itself become a great example to prove that people with intellectual disabilities deserved respect, acceptance and how such action can positively impact their life and change society perception.
