A Unified Bowling Project in Israel

By Reuven Astrachan

After months of preparation, a special, unique and important project has been rolled out – the Unified Bowling League of the Special Olympics bowlers and the bowlers of the Israeli Bowling federation. The unified project is the result of a cooperation agreement signed in November 2013 between the two organizations. The league is held in a Pairs format with the pair comprising one Special Olympics player and one Bowling federation player. The Bowling federation players will train the Special Olympics players as part of the project and every few weeks they will meet at one of the Bowling Centers around Israel to hold national league games. We wish all the participants in the project great success and thank the Bowling federation players who volunteered for this noble activity.
