By Adolp E. Prieto

Brandon was born with a small defect cleft lip and cleft palate, which this comes with other problems like ear infections and speech problems, For this we did not think that his lack of speech was of concern, until he was diagnosed with autism. I have been involved in Special Olympics since July of 2013, I am representing southern California in swimming,I won 3 gold medals, one in butterfly, one in back stroke and one in freestyle. I love Special Olympics and will continue to compete.

About Adolp E. Prieto: Brandon is an eight year old boy with autism who is enrolled in special and regular school, he will be enrolling in third grade. Brandon practices swimming every day.
