Come On Run Faster

By Karyn Tan

Special Olympics Cambodia is here enjoying the Special Hands Program, invited by the Korean Games Organizing Committee for the Winter Sports experience. Athletes Sitha Khem and Bophea Lao are thrilled, taking in the sights and sounds of Seoul, and ready to use their athletic skills in a new sport - snowshoeing. They competed in the same race yesterday. As the race began, 27 year old Sitha sped ahead, leading the race. But he turned back every now and then, yelling at Bophea in Cambodian: "come on, run faster!" Sitha won Gold, Bophea won Silver.
