With tremendous success the Cyprus Police Torch Run (Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR), organized for another year their annual Torch Run Final Leg on May 22, 2014.
The purpose of the Cyprus Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) event was to increase awareness and raise funds for the Special Olympics Cyprus athletes’ needs in view of the Special Olympics European Games which will be held in Antwerp between the dates 12-21 September 2014.
The Torch runners began at the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus on Thursday 22/05/14 at 9:00. The torch light of hope passed from all the major cities of Cyprus, Nicosia, Larnaca, Paralimni, Limassol and Paphos.
Mr. Jeremy Adams, President of Torch Run (Central Europe) participated in this event. He commented “I am so honoured and humbled to be involved with LETR over the past 18 years. As well as serving a good cause and having the best craic ever, I have been in every County on my own Emerald Isle and have had the opportunity to travel to some fantastic places all over the World, like Cyprus, were I have just spent a wonderful 4 days, all with like-minded, dedicated folk from LETR & Special Olympics! I have to nip myself sometimes to make sure that's not a dream!”
Special Olympics Cyprus would like to to thank Mr. Adams him for his support and contribution.
Thank you Cyprus Police Torch Run.
