Jamaican Athlete Scores at 2014 Floorball World Championship Qualifier

By Victor L. Brown

Although the Jamaican Squad to the Qualifiers suffered two very heavy defeats losing 27 to 0 against the USA and 31 to 1 against the host Canada, there was a bright spot for Special Olympics Jamaica athlete Orion McCaw who scored the lone Jamaican goal and was voted Squad’s MVP for the match against Canada. This is the second time that Orion has scored at the international level having scored when the JFA sent a squad to Sweden in December 2013. Another bright results for Special Olympics Jamaica was the performance of Oshain Daley as his efforts in the Squad’s net helped to keep the ferocious Canadian attackers somewhat at bay during the last period of their match.
