Kenya Athletes Tie the Knot

By Mr John Makathimo

It was during a Special Olympics Athletics competition event in Dumberi, Kiambu County, when, Carol, caught the eye of, Mutahi. It was love at first sight. They had not met before, but he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her during the event. They got to know each other during the event and by the end of it Mutahi had the courage to proudly stand before everyone and proclaim his love for Carol and his plans to marry her. Mutahi fulfilled his commitment when he hosted a colourful wedding ceremony at the Ndumberi Church in Kiambu town, Kiambu County. This was the perfect location for the immaculately dressed couple to exchange their vows. The beautiful ceremony was witnessed by approximately 100 guests, including media, from Kiambu who filled the venue. The wedding was celebrated in a true Kenyan style by ululations, song and dance welcoming the couple into marriage and wishing them luck and success.
