Overcoming Obstacles

By Stephanie Hammond

I Am 33 Years Old. I Play 4 Sports: Basketball, Bocce, Golf And Bowling. I Was Diagnosed At The Age Of 3 With A Intellectual Disability. In 7th Grade I Had My Left Leg Broken In 6 Places And I Had To Be Home Schooled. I Was Bullied All Through School And I Didn't Have Many Friends. I Have Overcome A Lot Of Obstacles In My Life But I Don't Let Anyone Or Anything Stop Me From Achieving My Potential And My Dreams. Special Olympics Has Been The Best Thing To Ever Happen To Me!!!

About Stephanie Hammond: I Am A Athlete, A International Global Ambassador, A Member Of The Schools Program And Project Unify And A Very Proud Athlete Representative For The Law Enforcement Torch Run With Special Olympics In Northern California.
