Participation in Bangalore Ultra Marathon by Special Olympics Athlete

Santosh at the finishing point

My son Sri R Santosh Kumar is preparing for the Asia Pacific Regional Games. As part of his preparation, he participated in the Bangalore ultra marathon organised by runners for life on 10 November 2013. He ran in the 12.5 kilometer open male category with bib number 1028, and he finished the course in a timing of 1 hour 9 min 24 sec. The Bangalore ultra marathon is run on a trail with lots of potholes and loose stones dotting the entire stretch and is a very demanding course many athletes find hard to finish. And Santosh Kumar has finished.

About S RAVINDRA KUMAR: I am father of Santosh Kumar proud of his acheivement and he has inspired me to complete a diploma in Special Olympics and also a degree in commerce. I work as a reservation supervisor in Indian railways.
