Special Olympics Mexico and UNICEF Joining Forces

Special Olympics Mexico and UNICEF met with athletes and parents in the month of June to discuss the union of these two institutions in Mexico. David Morsley, CEO UNICEF Canada, Dr. Thelma Torres National Director of Special Olympics Healthy Athletes Mexico, Sergio Velasco National Sports Manager, Roberto Bezares National Sports Development Manager, parents and Synchronized Swimming team "Sirens Special" were at the meeting, all agreeing the new union. The proposal was to include people with intellectual disabilities in UNICEF programs.
