Drew Boshell, Special Olympics Senior Director of Global Community Health Programs, will be among the presenters at the 3rd Annual World Down Syndrome Day Conference at United Nations headquarters in New York City on Friday, March 21. The theme of this year's conference is particularly close to Special Olympics' heart: "Health and Well-being - Access and Equality for All." Boshell will speak about Special Olympics' work on health, addressing how people with Down syndrome and other disabilities often get misdiagnosed, not taken seriously, or even refused treatment because health professionals may not have adequate training in meeting the health needs of people with disabilities. You can still register to attend the Conference, either in person or on-line. Registration is easy and free and you can do it here: http://www.worlddownsyndromeday.org/world-down-syndrome-day-conference-2014-health-wellbeing-registration-form
