Special Olympics Thailand Achieves New Goals with Unified Football Cup

In the leadup to the Special Olympics Unified Football Cup in Malaysia on 29 October 2014, Special Olympics Thailand's football team is profiled by the Bangkok Post, focusing on the connections between athletes and their unified partners. Thai athlete Sakorn Nohtoa has developed a keen friendship with his Unified partner Akkawat Pengjan. "I found contact with Sakorn a bit confusing when I first met him," said Akkawat. "He's quite shy and sometimes has a hard time communicating his thoughts. When we got used to talking to each other, I understood him."
