Female players also were given a master class in fitness. All of the participants received a gift and attended a picnic after the match. On 6 May seven Unified teams took to the pitch to compete in a regional tournament in Kherson. Special Olympics Ukraine is planning more football events throughout May. This year Special Olympics European Football Week, from 17-25 May, will involve 55,000 Special Olympics players in 50 countries.
