The French Football Presidents Club (UCPF) have awarded top French league football club with a cash prize of Euro 10,000 in recognition of its work with athletes with intellectual disabilities.
The funds will go towards its programme of partnership with Special Olympics called “The Road to Los Angeles 2015”. The cheque was received by OGC Nice’s star player Timothée Kolodziejczak and Special Olympics athlete Jordan before kick off between OGC Nice and SC Bastia on Saturday, March 15th.
OGC Nice have committee to identify, train and prepare the football team who will represent France in the upcoming 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles.
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are honorary Chairs of the Games which promise to be spectacular and outstanding. Over the next year Special Olympics France footballers will enjoy regular top class football training and mentorships in preparation for the Games.
