2013 European Football Week
The 2013 European Football Week kicks off on May 16 and continues through May 22. A total of 50,000 coaches, athletes and volunteers from 50 countries will be participating in grassroots football competition, league finals and events. UEFA will have 60 football clubs throughout the week supporting Special Olympics’ efforts to promote acceptance and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities. There will be total of 400 events, some of which will include Unified Football® competitions which pair people with and without intellectual disabilities to compete on the same playing field.
