Jose Moreno is a native of Chicago, who participates in Special Olympics Illinois athlete and Global Messenger. Since joining the Special Olympics program in 2009, Jose has been an integral part of many initiatives and competitions; including many gold medals for his efforts in sports and competition.
As a Global Messenger and Ambassador for Special Olympics, he strives to promote acceptance and inclusion for athletes like himself both in Illinois and across the world. Jose spends his time speaking with schools, law enforcement agencies, civic and corporate groups about the power of inclusion, acceptance and respect of all walks of life. He is passionate about inclusion and creating awareness for the disability community. He hopes to one day become a Special Olympics coach, and work as a full-time content creator.
In 2022, Jose traveled to Microsoft HQ to develop his shoutcasting ability and enhance his skills in being a spokesperson for the esports movement. He is excited about shoutcasting at this year's GFI tournament.
