Sofia lives in Athens, Greece. She is a Graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at the Department of Physical Education and Athletics. She holds a Master’s Degree at the Democretian University of Thrace - Department of Physical Education and Athletics on the Pedagogical & Creative Learning, and Rhythmic Gymnastics. She has the Level 1 Certificate of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Trainers from the International Academy of International Gymnastics Federation.

She has 36 years of experience in Judging Rhythmic Gymnastics at Olympic Games, World Championships and World Cups, European Championships, Universiade, Mediterranean Games, African Championships and 2 Special Olympics World Summer Games.
