Karim Mohamed

Football Subject Matter Expert - United Arab Emirates

Karim got his introduction to Special Olympics as a SME in 2018, when he was chosen to support the football competition at Special Olympics MENA National Games. With over a decade of experience working in sports systems, Karim caught on very quickly, had an immediate impact on the ground in Abu Dhabi and was invited back to serve as the SME for football again during the 2019 World Summer Games. Karim will be joining the SO Connect team again in this same role for both the SO Deutschland National Games in 2022 (Berlin Test Games) and the 2023 Berlin World Summer Games. Karim spends his time working in the Project Management and Programming fields and enjoys playing PlayStation. He shared that his experience working as a SME increased his football knowledge and he enjoyed watching how everyone came together to encourage and support the athletes of Special Olympics.
