Congratulations to the 31 Table Tennis players who took part during the 2018 Special Olympics South Africa National Summer Games. On the first day of competitions our athletes competed in Table Tennis tournament at the Scots Gymnasium at Wits University Education Campus, Park town. The competition had 5 officials from South African Table Tennis Board who came to officiate the Table Tennis to make sure that our athlete’s results are fair. We had a total number of 126 Games that were played.
Our athletes celebrated World Table Tennis Day during the games. It was an amazing experience to see the unity among our athletes and to see them taking opportunity to celebrate World Table Tennis Day. The World Table Tennis day that aims to make the sport Popular, Universal, and Inclusive. Three athletes will be joining the Special Olympics South Africa National Team that will be representing South Africa in Abu Dhabi at the 2019 Special Olympics South World Summer Games.
