From Sports Skills to Teaching Skills

Karla Violeta Castro González is a versatile athlete from Mexico. Her growing confidence in sports has led to confidence in other parts of her life as well!

Karla has become skilled as a creative artist and in a variety of crafts. In fact, she recently led an arts and crafts webinar, part of a series of athlete-led virtual gatherings, allowing her to share her expertise with others. Karla taught participants how to create beautiful decorations on home-made greeting cards. She has become an inspiring teacher and inclusive leadership role model, showing her students fun ways to express their feelings through art.
