Special Olympics Iowa athlete and USA Games powerlifting competitor Mitchell Betsworth will have his photo from the USA Games as part of Sports Illustrated’s Year in Pictures in their 12/17/18 issue. Betsworth has competed in the games since 2014 and trains under his father and coach Troy Betsworth and his favorite lift to perform is the deadlift. During the 2018 USA Games, Betsworth competed in bench pressing, squatting and deadlifting bringing home 1 silver and 3 gold medals.
