Play Unified: Learn Unified's Transformative Global Impact

Over the past three years, thanks to a generous grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Special Olympics has successfully delivered on an ambitious vision to transform school settings into communities of acceptance and inclusion for youth with intellectual disabilities. Through the Play Unified: Learn Unified initiative, Special Olympics implemented its transformative school-based programming—Unified Schools—in 14 countries and jurisdictions across the globe. Over the past three years, Play Unified: Learn Unified has forged an international team of youth leaders, teachers, community organizers and coaches who are bringing the power of social inclusion to schools and communities around the world.
