Think College

Think College blue and green logo that reads: Think College: Changing expectations. Increasing opportunities.

For many years, students with intellectual disability did not get the chance to go to college. They left high school, often remaining unemployed and socially isolated.

But there are more opportunities than ever today for people with intellectual disability, thanks to programs like Think College!

Think College is a non-profit dedicated to developing, expanding, and improving inclusive higher education options for people with intellectual disability. Think College helps people with intellectual disability enroll in inclusive schools and provides them with the support they need to succeed. Educational resources are available for families and professionals who seek to learn more about existing college options and how to develop new ones.

"Think Higher. Think College."
This video highlights the many things students with intellectual disability love about college: living in the dorm, taking classes that they choose, making friends, eating good food, participating in campus activities, and being independent. Hear from students and faculty from 5 different college campuses around the country about all the ways everyone benefits from students with intellectual disability going to college. It will make you “Think Higher. Think College." Learn more at the “Think Higher. Think College.” campaign website: https://www.thinkhighered.net.
