Independiente del Valle, the Ambassador Team of Special Olympics Ecuador and current champion of the South American Cup, unveiled their official uniform for the 2020 season, in an emotional event where Special Olympics athletes shone the brightest.

The event took place in the Quicentro Shopping Mall last February 13, where the uniforms were shown to the public and, or the ninth consecutive year, they included the Special Olympics Ecuador logo.
One of the most important moments of this presentation, and without a doubt, the happiest moment of the night, was the official delivery of the Captain Armbands by three Special Olympics athletes to the captains of the male and female teams. They will use the Captain Armband with the Special Olympics logo throughout the year, in support of Unified Sports and the fostering of inclusion .

Independiente del Valle played in the South American Cup in February, and will also play in the Libertadores Cup in 2020 and Club World Cup in 2021—tournaments where the Special Olympics brand will be seen, not only on the shirt, but also the Captain Armband.
