Leaders for Inclusion Head for Global Athlete Congress in Santo Domingo

The newest members of Africa Region’s Athlete Input Council were elected recently and represent a diverse array of nations. They include Jimmy Masina, and Joyce Ramabusa of South Africa, Brightfield Shadi of Botswana, Yannick Tano of Côte d’Ivoire, Tomiwa Adeyemo of Nigeria, Al Sayyed Curumthaullee of Mauritius, Boniface Kimeu of Kenya and Nyasha Derera of Zimbabwe. These leaders will soon be traveling as Africa Region’s representatives to the first Special Olympics World Tennis Invitational and the Special Olympics Global Athlete Congress in November as part of the initiative to “Stand Up for Inclusion” The celebration of these events intends to show the excellent sports abilities of the athletes, while simultaneously raising awareness of the social and human value of inclusion.
